Abstract:
This talk will aim to provide a stimulating atmosphere which will not only provide young graduates a chance to learn from each others’ experiences, but also learn from the experiences of a business leader from our Calgary business community.
As the first speaker of our Distinguished Speaker Series initiative, Bill Tucker will speak about his journey from the completion of his undergraduate degree to obtaining the title of CEO of Omicron while still in his thirties. He will discuss how he has helped Omicron to grow tenfold in terms of the number of employees, and in the size of its turnover.
In this talk, Bill Tucker will address Calgary’s young professionals, who are now looking to explore different career paths. Some of the key points that he will highlight are:

• Having seen the technical side of work, what are the key points that young professionals could consider if they are wishing to transition into business?

• Ways of maintaining a balance between youthful enthusiasm and decision-making based on experience
