Who are we?

We are a group of individuals involved in both academia and the engineering workforce, with backgrounds and roles in Electrical and Computer Engineering located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We meet on regular basis throughout the school year to locally promote the vision of IEEE and encourage involvement of local members in the sharing of ideas, attendance of local conferences and workshops, and promotion of ethical engineering practice.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to assist and improve the Electrical and Computer Engineering industries as well as related information technology sectors here in southern Alberta as well as in Canada and the world in general by:

  1. Providing practical liaisons between academia and the engineering workforce
  2. Advancing the professional standing of our members and their industry

In addition, in conjunction with IEEE’s grassroots mission, we strive to enhance the quality of life for the human population through improved public awareness of the influences and application of the world’s technologies.
